Can Harvick Go Out On Top?

Image
Photo: Runnin' On Scuffs Can Harvick Go Out On Top? Written By: Justin Seger Kevin Harvick is one of the all time greats in the modern era of NASCAR.  Harvick is currently in his 23rd full-time season at the top level of NASCAR: the Cup Series.  Kevin Harvick has had success at every level of NASCAR.  He has two championship wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as well as 47 victories.  In the Cup Series, Harvick has 60 wins, placing him 10th on the all time wins list, and is the 2014 champion of the sport.  Earlier this year, Harvick announced that 2023 would be his last full-time season in NASCAR.   An announcement like Harvick's makes us look back at all of his success in the sport.  He is the 2007 Daytona 500 winner and a previous champion of the sport.  However, Harvick's career is not over yet.  And while it is fun to remember all of his past success, what about his future success? It is incredibly hard for an athlete to "go ou...

What's A Scuff?

Image
What's A Scuff? Written by Dan Foster Runnin’ On Scuffs officially launched less than seven months ago. A new creation that has quickly gotten its feet under itself and begun to grow. Before we get too far down the road, I figured I’d do a short introductory article for you to be able to meet our team and get to know a little bit about everybody involved. As has already been the case, over time, we will have team members come and go. I asked each of our Scuffs to answer a few simple questions to tell a little bit about ourselves. We’ll start with our fearless leader. Justin Seger - Senior Editor, Writer and Show Host (@Scuff_Seger) Chief Scuff as we call him, grew up in Fulton, Mississippi watching racing with his dad, which sparked his interest in motorsports at a very young age. As he begin to learn more about meteorology, the more Justin wanted to become a storm chaser when he grew up. After realizing that just wasn’t the right fit for him, he turned his focus to motorsports...

Jeff Gordon: The Hendrick Years

Image
Jeff Gordon – The Hendrick Years Written by : Zach Williams   Over the weekend of March 4 th 2023 I got the awesome opportunity to go to one of the most premier auctions and car shows on the East coast. The Amelia, formerly The Amelia Concours d'Elegance, is held annually in Amelia Island, FL. This year the official honoree of the event was none other than Wonder Boy himself, Mr. Jeff Gordon. I attended a seminar on Saturday that was hosted by Ray Evernham and consisted of Jeff Gordon, Steve Letarte and surprise guest Kenny Schrader. The event began with Ray introducing the panel and talking about the three different racing machines they had on display in the room. They consisted of one of the 1994 Lumina cars, one of the 2001 Monte Carlos and Jeff’s 1990 #4 Diet Pepsi dirt midget he won the championship with.   Ray then began to direct the conversation towards when Jeff first began driving for Hendrick Motorsports. Of course, at that point Kenny Schrader had to bri...
